For PHSE, innovation has always been a key aspect. Since its establishment, it has always invested considerable resources in equipping its specialised transport solutions with a high level of responsiveness and control. With this in mind, the company’s IT department has developed a GDP-certified digital tracking platform in-house that includes the components of: temperature and GPS live control.
This monitoring system allows PHSE customers to check the status, temperature and location of each parcel in real time.
The Control Tower, operating worldwide, monitors all shipment data to ensure total control of the entire vehicle fleet: temperature, position of each vehicle, opening/closing doors, warnings, average speed, kilometres travelled, fuel consumption, driver’s name, CO2 emissions and more. Through this technology, prompt action can be taken in the event that a shipment shows even the slightest anomaly.
PHSE has implemented RFID technology in pharmaceutical transport by borrowing what already happens in the transport and storage of other goods sectors such as retail. The adoption of this technology, which has already entailed and will entail a considerable economic investment by PHSE, has the objective of obtaining an accurate tracking at the level of movement and temperature of each single package sent, certifying the quality and safety of the service and the benefit of the chain and of the patients. In addition, the application of RFID helps reduce the environmental impact of transportation on the supply chain through shorter transit times, eliminating forwarding errors, and not using passive enclosures for temperature management.
PHSE is able in real time to get any useful information from the system.
